Finally! A new blog!

This summer is almost over and its been a good one. Ty is getting so big and learns new things everyday. He likes to grab his feet now. He grabs objects and puts them right in his mouth! We are going to introduce more solids soon, he did well with rice cereal while visiting Grandma Lori in Vegas. Ty and I were able to go to Vegas for about 3 weeks in both June and July. It was really great, we missed Brandon of course though. We went to a family reunion and I went to the Coldplay concert on July 19. It was INCREDIBLE. An employee from Coldplay chose us randomly to get front row seats while the second act was going on on stage. Me, my mom, Whit, Ky and Hay were needless to say FLOORED and enjoyed the stellar show more than anyone. I also hosted a cousin sleep over party at my parents' house. We played Rockband, ate tacos and listened to Ray Bradbury radio stories (an old past time). Brandon and I will celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary this SUnday. We got a Nikon D50 and a Wii/Wii Fit for gifts for each other since we can't travel somewhere like we have the past 5 years. Its ok though. ;) I love Brandon, he is amazing. He is going to be done with his Masters in April 2009. Yaaaay! I yearn to get out of Tremonton but we'll see what happens. I am TRYING to give it a chance but some days I just don't feel like it :( Brandon needs to update our website but yeah. My friend Katie returns home from her mission on September 4 and we leave for Carlsbad on September 9 for 5 days. SO September willbe great. August is county fair and I have to go to the dentist month...so not as cool. I hope Twitch wins "So you think you can Dance" but Katee is good too. Also, I can't wait for The Office Season 5 premiere on September 25. Yay! Also, Viva La Vida is my favorite song right now. It's by Coldplay and the album is phenomenal. And now it's time for bed.

Until next time...

Here are some pics of Ty.

Labor and Other Things

Posted by Kelsea , Thursday, April 10, 2008 8:12 PM

Hey there folks. I can't believe this past week. Talk about change. My baby is already ten days old and I am trying to adjust to a new agenda. Lots of people have been asking me how I am doing and how labor went so here goes. I am doing good. Ty is very fun and we are getting used to the new schedules. We are still working on breastfeeding but it is coming along much better. We take naps when we can. Ty had a little case of jaundice that we got rid of after a few days of putting him on flourescent lights. He had to sleep in a little bed that looked like a tanning bed. He didn't enjoy it very much. He is already growing but doesn't fit into any of his 0-3 month clothes yet. I went and bought a couple premie outfits for bedtime and they fit fine. His first doc appt was on Tuesday and he gained an ounce from his birthweight so whatever he may have lost, he gained right back. Practice is the key word and we're all learning. Brandon of course is a wonderful daddy.

Labor was not that bad for me. On March 31 I got to the hospital at 7am and I was put on Pitocin at around 7:30am. My mom, my sister Kylee, my mother in law Lori and Brandon were with me the whole time. I was so grateful for their support right up until the end. When I arrived I was having contractions but they weren't painful so I felt lucky. I was dilated to a 2cm. At 1:00pm I got my epidural which was so great. I was totally relaxed for the next four hours and then came time to push. I threw up a couple times but nothing serious happened. I dilated consistently and pushed for two hours. My contractions became really strong near the end. Ty finally came out at 7:40pm and had the staff (and myself) a little concerned cause he wouldn't cry. It worried me a lot but all of his vitals were fine, he was just exhausted. They put him on oxegyn later and he was fine. He was the cutest pink baby ever weighing in at 8lbs. 1 oz. and was 20.25" long. My swelling increased from what it already was which was a little troublesome and I was of course sore for the next few days but other than that I had a good recovery. My mom has been here since March 29 and I don't want her to leave. She has helped so much, especially during the night. I don't know how I will ever repay her. She is actually going home next Thursday.

I am glad my little boy is here and that we are both healthy. I feel very blessed. I love my husband and my family. And now it's time for bed...

Busy Month

Posted by Kelsea , Friday, February 1, 2008 3:44 PM

Hey there everyone. As you can tell by the lack of blogs, January was a busy month. For the holidays we were in Las Vegas until New Years Day. On January 9th our friends Lena and Natasha from Novosibirsk came to visit us for two weeks. The first week we showed them around Utah and the second we went to California and Vegas. While in California we went to Disneyland, Laguna Beach and Hollywood. I need to mention that I saw Sean Astin, Courtney Cox and David Arquette at Disneyland. Yay! We got SO lucky with weather. It was so beautiful. We spent two days in Vegas then came home. My 28 week doctor's appointment went well. I took the glucose test and they will let me know if I "pass." Ty has been very very active especially recently. He will be 30 weeks tomorrow! Woohoo! My official due date is April 12. On Jan. 25 my former co-workers threw me and my friend Amy a baby shower. It was great to see everyone again. I now have many clothes, a bassinet, a playpen a bedding set and a crib for the little guy. My other baby shower for family and friends will be in Vegas on March 1. Drew and his fiancee Kylie are getting married on May 2. It has been SO SNOWY here in Tremonton. Several feet of snow decorates the perimeter of our yard which Brandon gets to shovel. I don't think he minds it though. Tomorrow is Pres. Hinckley's funeral. I was very sad when I heard the news that he had passed away. I thought of him as a grandpa of sorts. I am happy though that he is with his wifey again. Tomorrow me and Brandon are going to see the Blue Man Group. They are coming to Salt Lake. I am excited to get out of the house and go to a real show just like in Vegas. This month really isn't super busy which is good because we are getting the house in order. We have been doing some remodeling and painting and we are starting on the baby's room. My dad had shoulder surgery on Jan. 14 and is recovering well. My mom is enjoying being at home with only one teenager left. Whitney is taking classes at CCSN and waiting to get a job with the school district. Kylee is at SUU having a great time and Hayli is a freshmen in high school. Everyone is getting so old. Case in point: I am going to be a mom soon. Well I hope everyone is doing well. If anyone ever reads this...haha.

Christmas in Vegas

Posted by Kelsea , Saturday, December 22, 2007 3:32 PM

Hey everyone! I feel as though the holidays are actually here what with being home and all. As I type this, Zuzu the dog is watching intently. It has been a fun week but I miss Brandon. He will be here in about three hours. The annual Warburton family Christmas party is tonight. It should be fun. We always have a white elephant and then then unmarried cousins have a gift exchange. We act silly, watch Stubby Pringles Christmas and of course...EAT!! I have eaten so much. I am gaining too much weight. After the holidays it is sensible eating and exercise time. Yay! So on Thursday night Acclamation performed at LVHS and on the stage following the show Drew asked his girlfriend Kylie to marry him. IT WAS SO CUTE! He changed the words to "For the Longest Time" and sang it a capella with a bunch of other guys. It sounded great. Oh and did I mention how CUTE it was?? They are planning to get married in May in the Mt. Timpanogos temple. She is a nice gal, she fits right in. I need to get to know her better though of course. Tomorrow is Sunday and we are going caroling which should be fun since I want to go every year and it usually doesn't happen. Ok, I am going to get my eyebrows waxed now. They are beyond help..lol. Happy Holidays!

Mini Christmas

Posted by Kelsea , Monday, December 17, 2007 11:36 AM

Hey! Me and Brandon had our little mini Christmas last night. I got an awesome massager, a heater fan (I am so in love with it) and Ty's first matchbox car. Cute eh? My "big" present I get in Vegas Brandon says. Oh I also got some pajama pants. I got Brandon undershirts, boxers, PJ pants, jeans and Juiced for XBox. We drank cider and hot chocolate and listened to Chrismas music. On Saturday night we spent the night in the living room underneath the lit Christmas tree. It was SO NICE. I leave in about 20 minutes to go to Vegas. I will miss Brandon until Friday :( I went to the chiropractor today. My back popped so GOOD. I hope going back for adjustments will continue to help the situation. I am looking forward to being with my families for the holidays. Home is still Las Vegas and it probablyalways will be :) Ty is very active, especially since Saturday. He likes to roll over to my left side a lot. It's fun. I will be glad when he is here. Mabel is getting spayed on January 4. Thank goodness. Well folks, if I don't write for a while, have a splendid holiday!!

Better

Posted by Kelsea , Friday, December 14, 2007 11:38 AM

Today is a much better day than yesterday. Too many stressful things. Today is my last day at work. I am sad. Didn't think I would be but I sort of am. It's ok though. I just wish my boss was her so I could say bye. She had to stay home cause her little boy is sick. I like the people I worked with. I only have 4 more sugar cookies left! I am trying to make them last! They are so yummy. I won't have time to make any more treats before I leave. I am sure I will make some at my mom's house. Me and Brandon are going to have a slumber party in the sun room tonight. We will probably eat junk food and lay around with our kitties. Sounds nice. I will miss Brandon until the 21st :( I leave Monday. I am driving down with Acclamation. Jerilyn and Drew are in it and performing in Heber City so Brandon is going to drive me to Provo and I will meet up with them there. Then I meet up with my mom and Kylee in Cedar and make the way to Vegas. I am excited for Christmas things. Yay! Also Monday morning I am going to the chiropractor. I am a little nervous but hopefully they can get my back situation STRAIGHTENED OUT. HAHA! Pun...Anyway Ty is still busy. He likes to move when I sit at my desk and type. He has also started moving at night. I don't mind it, it's fun. Ok, I know I shouldn't but I am going to McDonalds for lunch. After Christmas I will seriously start exercixing and eating better. I PROMISE! We have only gotten one Christmas card. HOW SAD! It's ok though. I need to send ours out soon. Only 11 days til Christmas! Ahhh!
