Carlsbad and such

Posted by Kelsea , Tuesday, September 22, 2009 9:28 PM

Best ever. It was so great. I will try and recall the events as they happened.

Friday September 11- Posted my 9/11 video I made in 2004 then left for Cedar City when Brandon got home early from work. We stopped at Mikala's rodeo and stayed at Brandon's dad's house for the night.

Saturday September 12-Drove to Las Vegas, went to my cousin Amy's baby shower for baby Jane. The topic of conversation at the shower was Carlsbad mostly. Haha! Went over to Lori's and watched Sunshine Cleaning

Sunday September 13-Went to Lori's ward, went to Olive Garden with the fam, slept

Monday September 14- Went shopping, got my hair done (dyed brown and trimmed...love it), hung out/shopped with Drew and Kylie, re-packed for Carlsbad

Tuesday September 15- Left at 9am to drive down to Carlsbad, stopped in Barstow for the traditional lunch at Del Taco, arrived about 3:30pm, checked into our hotel, went grocery shopping and hung out, watched the sunset, realized the ocean water was inexplicably and wonderfully warm! :)

Wednesday September 16-Sunny at 9am! We all went to Super Donut in the morning and then headed down to the beach. We spent all day there and Brandon and Drew built a sandcastle that resembled Notre Dame. Water was SO WARM, waves were fantastic. Kylie made us sandwiches and I also ate one of my mom's. She was not feeling well the whole time. My dad brought a huge intertube to try out on the waves. It's for attaching to a boat to ride. It was phenomenal on the waves. SO very fun. There was a lot of family this year also. Very cool. Ate at Las Olas for late lunch and Pizza Port for dinner. Coldstone for dessert! :) After that I went to the airport to pick up Katie. She came in at about 9pm. When we got home we fell asleep right away. Exhausting but GREAT day.

Thursday September 17- Overcast but still nice. Played in the water all day. Back and forth to the pool/ocean. Went to a couple surf shops and Brandon went up with Ty everyday to take a nap around 1 or 2pm which was very nice. Katie and I played on the intertube and on the shore. It took her a while to build up the courage to go in the waves but she warmed up to them :) I had a completely religious experience when I body surfed successfully for the first time. I felt like I was part of the ocean, part of nature and could feel the power behind the waves. It was really amazing. I did it a couple times. Boogie boarding was also amazing. I think if I lived in California I could totally be a surfer. Thursday night we went to the Harbor Fish Cafe for fish and chips night. It was here we got a call from Scott, our realtor, that we has an offer on our house!!! Shocked. He offered 153 and we countered the next morning at 159. After yummy fish we walked to Linda's ad the California Wear shop. I bought a coconut shell purse, a t-shirt, 2 postcards, sunglasses for Mikala, and a sticker for the Versa. Fun! Ty had come down with a cold so we were battling that. Then, time for bed.

Friday September 18- Sunny but overcast later in the day. Went to Super Donut again as well as walking all around town but everything was closed. The girls (me, Kylie, Katie and Kylee) decided to get pedicures. They were great! It was then I found out our counter offer had been accepted. WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!! Two weeks on the market! Totally amazing. I cried. As I drank my green iced tea and got a pedicure I tried to let it all sink in. We had blessings hitting us from all sides! This was definitely meant to be. Spent most of the time on the beach. Went to SeƱor Grubby's for dinner and had the best carne asada torta ever! We went to Linda's then we watched the last half of the new Glee episode. After a quick hot tub trip, Drew and Ky went to the beach while the rest of us went to bed.

Saturday September 19- Sunny!! All day! Heaven! This was the best day except that Drew and Kylie left around 10am to go to Vegas. Before they left we went to a cafe (across the street from Super Donut) and had really good breakfast. We walked a little on Carlsbad Village Drive then hit the beach. The waves and water were SO great. Katie and I had a blast and played like little kids. Unfortunately, Brandon's back had been hurting really badly from the sunburn he got on Wednesday and felt that his boogie boarding was done. Even though it was nice of him to watch Ty Ty, I know he wasn't feeling great. I was able to get a ton of footage for the music video. I am putting it to "Live Your Life" by T.I. feat. Rihanna. It will be so great, I made sure to get everyone in it. We played all day, had bagel sandwiches and garlic knots from Knockout Pizza for lunch, and played in the sand with my sisters and cousins. The whole day was so liberating. I knew it was the last day but I DID NOT want to leave. That night we went to Garcia's and happened to see my family there. My dad covered our check (nice nice guy). He also made Carlsbad shirts for everyone as this was year 20. So great. It truly is a getaway and I love it there so much. Sleep came easily that night.

Sunday September 20- I left to take Katie to the airport at 730am. Carlsbad was our last trip together before we move. The night before I was quite sad mulling it all over in my head. She earned the title "Katie Nana" cause she was so helpful with Ty Ty. On the way back to the hotel I stopped to take pictures of the San Diego Temple. SO beautiful. I felt really peaceful. When we said our goodbyes we stopped at Super Donut again and made the long journey home. We stopped in Vegas just in time to go to dinner with Lori, Drew and Kylie. Afterwards we drove home and arrived in Tremonton at about 1am. Ty slept a lot of the way. I laid in bed that night and decided to feel so thankful before the stress of the move set in.

I truly am blessed for all the wonderful things in my life. I know that moving to Washington is going to be a big step. A leap. But it's a chance I am willing to take because I know that any experience with my Brandon and Ty is a great experience. I feel so lucky to have them. Somebody up there loves me :)

Carlsbad 2010 is only 360 days away! ;)

Until next time....

Moving Moving

Posted by Kelsea , Tuesday, September 8, 2009 6:25 PM

Well our house has been on the market since Friday and I'm just waiting for the offers to come POURING in. Haha...

Brandon's last day of ATK is tentatively October 5 assuming he can volunteer for the layoff that will happen that day. If he can volunteer, his school will be paid for and he'll get about one month's severance pay which will ease our transition. As it stands now our official moving date will be October 6. Brandon's dad is going to help us take stuff up. The rest is staying til we sell the house and once it sells, REC will move everything up. Brandon's official start date at REC will be October 19. This next month will be nuts.

We decided to sell our car, Old Blue. This makes me sad as I have had her since 2000. She will be missed but it would cost more to repair her steering than sell her. (Yes, its a her)
Yesterday me and Brandon and Drew and Ky spent all day at Lagoon. I got the tickets for practically free and we sold the extras to people in line. Kylee and Taylor came later. We had a blast! We took Western pics. Enough said. We went on most of the rides and really had a good time.
We look good. Admit it...

Sometimes I feel like my blog is just a way for me to reiterate what my plans are. Like if I type it out then I won't forget. Tomorrow Ty and I are going to the dermatologist and Glee premieres. Yay! Thursday I am going to see Katie and Friday we're headed down I-15 to eventually make our way to Vegas. Saturday is my cousin Collin's wife's (Amy) baby shower. Her name is Jane and she's due in October. Yay! Tuesday we head down to Carlsad for what will hopefullybe the highlight of this year. Also it will be the end of vacation and once it's over, stress beginneth. Bear with me everyone!

Until next time...

House

Posted by Kelsea , Thursday, September 3, 2009 9:23 PM

We put the house on the market today. We're listing it for 165 and hope we get it sold sooner than later. Dang economy! We cleaned up today and we're gonna try and keep it this way indefinitely. Saturday we are going to go through a bunch of stuff and take DI and trash trips. I call it "Clean Sweep" like the show on TLC. Brandon is going to notify his work next week.

I am looking forward to the Glee premiere on September 9. I have watched the pilot so many times. I think it will be a great show. Also I have high hopes for season 6 of The Office. September 7 (Labor Day) Brandon and I are going to Lagoon with Drew and Kylie. Fun times! Jer is going to watch Ty Ty. Then September 11, we will head down to Vegas for a few days then make our way down to Carlsbad.

I am baffled beyond words that summer is now over when this year just barely started. Ty is growing up so fast. He yammers alot, says kicky (kitty) doggy, mama and yells at the TOP of his lungs when he in pursuit of the cats. He runs at top speed and stops what he is doing anytime and anywhere to dance when he hears music. He now goes to bed (including naps) without a baba which was a SEAMLESS transition. Basically the opposite of what I expected. So no more buying formula and the babas are packed away! Yay! He LOVES peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, baby raviolis, real cereal (to snack on) and milk from his sippy cup. He likes to empty the drawers in the kitchen and deposit things throughout the house. He goes up and down the stairs and pretty much has free reign of the main floor. He also loves to play the snuggle game (he'll ran at me with a blanket and snuggle for 5 seconds before getting up and doing it again), the ticklefoot game (i tickle his feetwith my feet and he tickles mine with his hands and giggles), running outside on the sidewalk with his lawnmower toy, blowing spit bubbles, talking himself to sleep among other cute things. He is on a pretty regimented schedule and he sticks to it. He's up at 8am, takes a 2 hour nap and is in bed around 8pm. When he isn't sleeping he is keeping busy doing all of the above. I love him so much and he is growing so much. I hope he will like living in Washington. I hope we can find him some friends cause like any mom I want him to have a positive good start and be happy :)

My grandma Layton turned 91 on the 2nd. I called her and talked to her on the phone for a while. She underwent tests for cancer that came back negative which is great news.

Katie is in NYC. I am way jealous. I think we will plan a trip in December up to Seattle for her birthday. Yay!

Everything is up in the air right now but we're all doing ok. Not 100% sure what the start date will be at REC and when we can move in to the house we'll be renting but it will all fall into place. I feel like we have been blessed so much and know we're doing the right thing. We're gonna focus on getting this house sold and keep our chins up. And that brings me to where this blog started :)

Until next time....

So where is Moses Lake?

Posted by Kelsea , Wednesday, September 2, 2009 12:30 PM

Here is a mileage chart:

Moses Lake to Spokane -94 miles east
Moses Lake to Seattle- 147 miles west
Moses Lake to Vancouver, Canada-230 miles northwest
Moses Lake to Calgary, Canada-359 miles north
Moses Lake to Tremonton-513 miles south
Moses Lake to San Fransisco- 666 miles southwest
Moses Lake to Las Vegas- 786 miles south

Wow! :)

Washington it is

Posted by Kelsea 12:09 PM

Hey everyone, big news!

Brandon has accepted a position as a silane process engineer at a company called REC Silicon (http://www.recsilicon.com/) located in Moses Lake, Washington. It is about an hour from Spokane in central Washington. He interviewed at the end of August and we got an offer we liked including paying for moving and the balance of the costs for his masters degree. He now has a MS degree in chemical enginneering! Yay! Also this new job is directlyrelated to his field unlike the job he has now. We have loved living here for 2 and a half years and it's nerve wracking to move on to bigger and better things but we feel like we have been really really blessed. Our number one concern is selling our house and saving for a new one. We'll be renting a house in Moses Lake (hopefully) from a senior couple about to leave on a mission. That will give us time to adapt and save money.

We will miss our neighbors and ward. Brandon has enjoyed ATK and the chance he had to affiliate himself with the space program. Moving to REC is a move for us that will guarantee more stability and we look forward to this very new adventure. His anticipated start date is October 12.

Not much else is going on except that our annual Carlsbad trip (year 20) is in 13 days and I will be sure and post pictures. We look forward to it all year.

I'll keep everyone posted with relocation details as much as I can on here, so check back periodically. Wish us luck!!

Until next time.....

Quick Blog

Posted by Kelsea , Thursday, July 30, 2009 9:59 PM

Hey all! Summer is in full swing! It has been nice and hot here. The other night we saw that international space station fly over and it was so bright! Amazing. This weekend is the Del Gado family reunion (Brandon's materal gma's family). Should be fun! We will see everyone tomorrow! :) I ran another 5K on July 25 and did it in 32min. Not great but it's ok. Ty can imitate itsy bitsy spider and we play up/down with our arms. He doesn't like it when people cross their legs so he always goes and uncrosses them while speaking his mind. Haha! Next weekend is the Barney family reunion (my paternal gma's family) in Gooseberry UT (your guess is as good as mine). Then after its over, Ty and I will go home with my parents to Vegas for ten days and fly home on the 19th.

Brandon is going to U of U for his final exam presentation tomorrow. Everyone wish him luck! It's for his Master's degree. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! Still keeping job opportunities open :)

Until next time....

Oh the weather outside is...awkward

Posted by Kelsea , Sunday, July 19, 2009 9:36 PM

The weather this summer has been so silly. Also awkward. It rained all of June and July has been hot with intermittent storms. I miss the days when it was either hot or hot. Right now I am just trying to come to grips with the fact that August is less than two weeks away!

We went up to Moses Lake Washington from Saturday til Thursday this past week to visit Grandma and Grandpa Harrod. We took the road trip up with Drew and Kylie. I hadn't really been able to really hang out with Kylie yet because of our busy lives and the whirlwinds of the holidays at which we would normally see each other. I just love her to death and I am so glad she is in our family!

My parents also flew into Spokane and drove to Moses Lake to spend some good quality Washington state time with us. They have never been. My dad went fishing with Brandon and his grandpa for walleye and my dad caught the only fish big enough to keep. My mom hung out with me and Ty mostly. Ty was pretty good on the trip but started to have royal meltdowns. Like he figured out how to do them at someone else's house. It was kind of embarrassing but all the cute things he did outweighed the annoying ones :) I taught him Itsy Bitsy Spider and he is catching on. He is so goofy and smart. Anyway..back to Washington. We went to a fun water park, went to see the new Harry Potter movie, got Shave Ice, went to Walmart a dozen times for different things and Ky and I got pedicures. There was canoeing, porch sitting, game playing, good food and over all just a good time.

Brandon and Drew's cousin Dax was there the whole time as well and I think we talked him into coming to Carlsbad this year. Only 58 days left!!! Anyway the road trip home was LOOOOOONG but the scenery was beautiful. Ky and I decided we're going to make a CD together so we're getting the ball rolling for that. Should be awesome! On Saturday we were going to go to Bear Lake for our ward party but we were to "travelled-out." Ty and I will be in Vegas from August 9-19 and also the weekend before Carlsbad (as well as Brandon) and then again in October from the 24th to November 2nd. Good prices on Southwest are to blame!!

While in Moses Lake, Brandon touched base with a hiring manager at a company called REC Silicon whom grandpa harrod knows. Brandon is considering working there since there is another rumor of ATK layoffs in September. Also the job is more chemical engineering driven and they are looking for new engineers since another plant is being built. Time frame:within 6 months. Does this mean we could be moving in 6 months? Yeah. I know the opportunity is good whether Brandon gets laid off or not but it is, after all, CHANGE. I have been trying to find my place here and am making peace but starting fresh again is always a daunting thought. I am one of those people who doesn't like committing to something for very long, or at least I used to be. Anyway more details to follow if and when I get them.

I got bangs. I'm still getting used to them. Haha.

I love my little family quite alot. I would follow my husband to the ends of the earth and back and all he wants to know is how I feel about things. I love him. Ty got a black eye from falling on the porch steps on Saturday and today he scraped his nose. This evening before his tubby time he was traipsing around the house with a saggy diaper and his injuries dancing to the theme of The Simpsons on TV. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever and I love him so so much. I always tell him "Yer my BESSSSS fren!" And we touch hands when I put him to bed. I am so glad he is with us. Not everything is easy--actually nothing is--but I wouldn't trade him for anything life has to offer. Nor Brandon :)

Well I better go to sleep now. Maybe something cool will happen this week and I'll blog about it. Like if I survived my 5K on the 25th or not!!! ;)

Until next time....

Luckiest

The Luckiest by Ben Folds

I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here

And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?

And in a white sea of eyes
I see one pair that I recognize
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you

Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away

I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

Watch this! It's amazing!

Playing with Goofy Ty

Posted by Kelsea , Monday, June 29, 2009 9:38 PM

He was too busy with his "trucking business" to really play with me but he did do his funny "scared boy" pose a few times. Love it!

Summer is Simmering!

Posted by Kelsea 1:26 PM

I was thinking of something along the lines of "Spring has Sprung" and that's what I came up with for a title.

We have gotten massive amounts of rain which has been good but now its just hot. My birthday is Wednesday! Yay! Kylee was here all last week visiting after running a relay race with her boyfriend Bo and his crazy running family. She did awesome. We got pedicures, went to two movies, MADE movies (details TBA), played with crazy boy Ty and went to a neighborhood water party. I was sad to see her go. I got her hooked on Farm Town. Best game ever on Facebook! Basically you take care of your own farm that you build. It's fun. Ty likes the noises the animals make. Ty is SO funny lately. He does this funny pose with his hands up in the air and now if you imitate him, he'll keep doing it over and over cause he sees you laugh your head off. Haha. He will be 15 months on Wednesday. He is very active, learning to run and gets into everything that isn't locked or tied down. We've started really baby proofing and need to buy like three more of those wooden baby gates. I wish they weren't $30 a piece!

Michael Jackson died. This makes me sad! I've been listening to him in my car.

Layoff rumors are looming again. Brandon said he should find out this week or next when they will happen and if his job is in fact at stake. If it is, we may put the house up for sale just in case. I am worried slightly but he is such an asset at work that things should be fine.

Some of the ILP kids came to America and are staying for a month to travel. Three of Katie's kids are here including her favorite, Sveta. I was hoping some of my kids could come but maybe next year since they're still young. We're planning on doing activities with them and visiting Gulya, our native coordinator lady who came with them. Yay!

I'm looking forward to July 4! I'm running a 5k, going to a parade, having a picnic and watching fireworks. I think we'll actually set off fireworks on July 24. Favorite!!

When my mom was here she bought me a new mattress for my birthday. I am in love! It was fun having her here. Not much else to report but just going along. My weight loss has stopped, mostly because I have been lax with eating habits and not exercising. Sad! I'll do better this week.

Until next time...

Summer Update

Posted by Kelsea , Saturday, June 20, 2009 12:18 AM

Here is what's up dudes:
-Got a massage gift certificate for mothers day
-Brandon went fishing with my dad in Green River
-Mom and Hayli came here for a week
-Me and mom went and got massages at the day spa
-Had a movie party
-Signed up for my first 5k (July 4 in Clearfield)
-Kylee is staying with me for a week
-Some of our Russian kids are coming to Utah
-Stopped biting my nails (we'll see how long it lasts)
-Started playing Farm Town
-Going to Washington for a week in July
-My birthday is on JULY 1!!! :) 28....awkward
-Rearranged downstairs
-Ty is walking everywhere, says "doggy" and makes all kinds of sounds including whining. Loves to play on the couch, wears size 5 shoes. Gives kisses and bumps heads. I love him.
-Went to the zoo
-Went house hunting with mom in Heber City
-Picked Hayli up from EFY
-Got pedicures with Adi and Katie

So I just wanted to drop a couple lines to reflect on how thankful I am for my little family. I have been struggling with Ty's new habit of whining for EVERYTHING. I get so impatient and frustrated but I love him so much. I need to balance this and remember how blessed I really really am. Also I love my hard working husband. Rumors of another layoff in September have been surfacing. No matter what happens in our life I know we're in it together :) I love my boys. Time for bed.

Until next time...

New Plans

Posted by Kelsea , Monday, April 27, 2009 5:57 PM

Well not really new...but kind of. I decided NOT to try out for the play at the community theater this summer because I found out it is going to be Man of La Mancha. I dislike this play greatly and I didn't want to waste my time. So I am going to stay in Vegas an extra four days. Yay! My week is busy already so a few extra days will be great. Tomorrow we are going to see The Soloist. Wednesday Bree is doing my hair and we're going to go pick up the tickets for Phantom. Thursday I am hopefully getting a pedicure, Friday Katie is coming and we're going to Hayli's play, Saturday is Haydn's baptism and dinner and Phantom! Sunday is church and Katie's going home. I would have left the next day but now it's Friday! :) So my whole week is open next week. Yay! Ty has been crazy lately. He says "HIIIiiii" now. It is so funny. He is getting good at mimicking. I moved his appt. to May 13. Also I think I'm having a movie party at my house on May 27. I have to decide which movie though. I will get input. Well, I better go cause the missionaries are coming over.

Until next time...

Our Vacation

Posted by Kelsea , Sunday, April 26, 2009 5:05 PM

IT WENT GREAT! Saturday we drove to St. George (stopped the night before in Cedar to sleep at Drew and Ky's) and dropped off Ty with grandma Lori and grandpa Ron. We continued on to Flagstaff and made great time getting there. Sunday we spent the day at the Grand Canyon and watched the sunset on Sunday night. We hiked in a little ways and the weather was perfect. No crowds. On the road the next day we bought some Native American trinkets (bracelet, pots) at a roadside stand and headed for Colorado. We stopped at the 4 corners monument. I was in Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico all at once! We stopped in Cortez, CO and visited Mesa Verde National Park. There are indian ruins built into the mountains. It is amazing. I can't wait til Brandon uploads the pictures. It was definitely a highlight. Wednesday morning we left Cortez early and drove to Arches National Park/Moab. We wanted to get a camp site in the Devils Garden campground and we got the LAST ONE! Yay! We set up camp and went into Moab to buy supplies. We hiked to the Double O/Landscape Arches which was a totally fun 4 mile hike and it was so beautiful. Again, the weather was splendid. I saw SO many lizards! :) Thursday we woke up early, ate breakfast and went to hike to Delicate Arch. It was also a fun hike, even though it was quite sunny and warm but it was so worth it. Beautiful! The rest of Thursday we bummed around, ate dinner at a cafe in town, and climbed a big rock to watch the sunset. That night was way way windy so we didn't sleep as well as the night before but it was ok. We headed back to Cedar City and stopped in Richfield to visit a friend. We decided to stay at my parents cabin for the night since they would be there and I was going home with them anyway. Brandon left Saturday morning back to Tremonton and I came home with my parents and Kylee. Lori and Ron brought Ty over to my parents.' OH I MISSED HIM SO MUCH! I was so happy to see him. He is so silly. He is walking more and eats like no one I've ever seen. Haha. It was a good vacation for everyone and I am so glad I got to go and make memories with Brandon. When Ty gets older we can all go! It's been good so far in Vegas. I am PLEASED with the weather. But of course I miss Brandon :) I'll be here til May 4.

Until next time...

Um..

Posted by Kelsea , Wednesday, April 15, 2009 9:00 PM

I feel anger towards the weather. The SLOWEST and COLDEST storm system is moving through and holy crap. It snowed huge flakes ALL day today. I am so worried for my flowers. Anyway we're leaving town on Friday so :oP Here's the itinerary:

Friday-Drive down to Cedar
Saturday morning-Drop Ty off with Gma Lori in St. George
Saturday (all day)- Drive to Flagstaff, AZ
Saturday night-Spend night in Flagstaff, AZ
Sunday-Grand Canyon
Monday-Monument Valley
Monday night- Spend the night in Cortez, CO
Tues-Thurs-Mesa Verde, Arches National Park/Canyonlands (camp)
Friday-Drive back to Cedar
Saturday-Brandon home to Tremonton, Kelsea to Vegas til May 4

There ya have it. Should be an adventure. Tomorrow is get the house clean and pack day. The car is all ready to go. Yay!

I picked Mabel up from the vet today after she was declawed. She was pretty sad but I think she'll be fine. We're keeping her in the office with her own litter box that is sand free. No pebbles in the paws they said. So I am going to be playing vet for the next couple days as well. Sibbie thought FOR SURE she was gone. Sad. Well, time for bed!

Until next time....

Rain Rain Go Away

Posted by Kelsea , Tuesday, April 14, 2009 1:17 PM

So yesterday and Sunday were absolutely gorgeous. Easter Sunday was just what you would want easter sunday to be. We went to Chris and Monica's for easter dinner and Ty looked adorable. Our camera battery died so of course I didn't get pictures of him :( Anyway today is Tuesday and it is RAAAAIIINNNING. Alot. It makes me not productive (thats it I'll blame the weather). I took both cats to the vet today for shots and Mabel is getting decalwed. Finally. It will be nice. She will be 2 on April 24. Gosh they grow up so fast. Lol. Ty is still walking here and there but still uses crawling as his main mode of transportation. We have been getting ready for our vacation. Well at least we have been getting the car ready. We still need to figure out where we're staying and I HAVE to get laundry done. Laundry is like the annoying friend that doesn't go home after the slumber party is over. Just kinda...hangs around. I don't know.

Anyway Ty is asleep right now and so I thought I would just jot a few lines. My beautiful flowers have come up in the front planter and the tulips will be up any time now. Yay! My corner planter (and probably the front) is going to get rocks soon. I bought some solar lantern things. I don't know if we'll actually plant anything this year. Also I need to hang out with people in my neighborhood, there are cool people I just never come out of the house I guess. When the weather is better I swear I will. I like being outside on nice days. Who doesn't?? Our tree is FULL of honeybees. I love them. But when the wasps come I hate it. Also I hate mosquitos.

Oh! I am going to see Phantom in Vegas on May 2! I scored cheap cheap tickets in great seats thanks to Lori. We are so very excited and thankful! I am also going to see Aida in September. This is a good year for plays! I saw Wicked on the 10th. It was very amazing. I am going to audition for a play on May 5 so we'll see how that goes. Its just a community theater thing. Kostya is coming to BYU in January. Brandon and I are thrilled.

Well I am rambling now so its time to go. Life is good!

Until next time...

Happy Birthday to Ty Ty! His real party will be on Friday.

Up and coming

Hey there! We're actively planning a Utah/Arizona/Colorado trip coming up April 18-25. After dropping of Ty with grandma in Vegas we're going to take a week and visit the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde National park and Arches National Park. It will be fun! It's for our 7th wedding anniversary (which is in August) but we want to go in April cause it won't be scorching or crowded. Then I am gonna go to Vegas from the 25th until May 4th to hang with the fam and see Hayli's school play. Speking of play, I am trying out for one on May 6. Wish me luck as it has been a long while! I am ready for nice weather. Today was a cold and windy mess. I was ready to pack up and move! My hopes are that tomorrow will be better. I ALWAYS hope that :)

Until next time...

Goofy Ty

Ty's been making goofy faces all day. These are just two of many! He's been getting braver when it comes to taking steps and I think he will be good at it in the next couple weeks. His 1st birthday is Tuesday and Grandma Warburton is coming up. I'll be posting pictures of his party that will take place on the 3rd.

Until next time...

Ty and Baby McDonald

I came home today to find Ty in his "Play area" watching Baby McDonald intently. Since my recent goal is to take and share more pictures, I snapped this photo op. I thought that it was great since most of the time you can't get this boy to stop moving.

Blog and Website Restart

Kelsea and I are in the process of revamping our website. We realized that we needed an easy way for Kelsea to update it that didn't involve much programming since she is the one that is more diligent about it.

The majority of the information will be on this blog. We'll be posting pictures, movies and music here as time goes on.
